Tacoma Opera Alley Engagement
Tacoma Opera Alley Engagement Session with motorcycles and muscle cars – I had fun with this one! Reihna and Thurston mentioned that they were interested in getting some photos on a motorcycle. First, Thurston went ahead and got beautiful BMW and Ducati bikes from South Sound Motorcycles for the photo shoot. The bikes shined and looked amazing, and the couple was stunning.
They played it cool and goofed around… we had a good time!
I thought it would be fun to play with refections in the bike’s side mirror. Reflections display an interesting perspective since we don’t often get see them in photographs.
Opera Alley has a serious art vibe and it can be a great place to take photos if you know what to look for, and what to avoid. I love the vibrant colors of the buildings in addition to this rad mural.
Often when posting photos it is difficult for me to decide on black and white or color. This will be a first, but I am leaving both versions of this particular photo, because I can… and I really like the expressions.
Thurston started the bike up and rode down the alley with Reihna on the back. Freedom of the road – except I didn’t let this couple ride off into the sunset just yet. We had a few more places to go like the Spanish Steps, a grand staircase downtown Tacoma.
Then we went to a garage I know of downtown to take some more photos with the BMW and Ducati motorcycles.
While we were shooting I said, “You know, these bikes are amazing, but your car is pretty awesome… don’t you think we should get it in a few photos too?” The Dodge Challenger is a gorgeous muscle car and if I weren’t in the market for a dad car… aka minivan, I would definitely start looking into getting one.
Here she is picking up the stud muffin on the bike. They’re getting married in Thailand and I know they are going to have an amazing celebration. Congratulations!
