Crossings at Carlsbad San Diego Wedding

Crossings at Carlsbad San Diego Wedding

Crossings at Carlsbad San Diego Wedding – the day started at Lauren’s parents home in Carlsbad with all of her bridesmaids getting ready together.  I was able to step in and take some detail shots amongst all the bustling excitement as everyone was getting hair and makeup ready.

We drove to the Crossings where all the ladies were having fun getting into their dresses.Wedding and Event Photography Los AngelesWedding and Event Photography Los Angeles

Caleb was getting ready nearby with his brother.  They were looking sharp.  I think Caleb was anxious to see his gorgeous bride for the first time in her wedding dress.

It was a warm summer day in Southern California.  Actually, it was pretty hot. So to keep cool, I scouted locations ahead of time.  I found this nice spot that was secluded, where Lauren and Caleb could have their special moment in the shade.  It was sort of this secret garden nearby.Wedding and Event Photography Los AngelesWedding and Event Photography Los AngelesWedding and Event Photography Los Angeles

I like this photograph through the trees because it gives us a sense that we’re peeking in on this private moment.Wedding and Event Photography Los AngelesWedding and Event Photography Los AngelesWedding and Event Photography Los Angeles

The ceremony at The Crossings was beautiful, the people were genuine, and the smiles were abundant.

It’s a military tradition to walk through an arc of drawn swords.  The bride and groom must not pass until the groom kisses the bride.

We took some golf carts out for a spin on the golf course.  We didn’t bring any clubs, but we did get some nice photographs of the couple before the reception kicked off.  Wedding and Event Photography Los AngelesWedding and Event Photography Los AngelesWedding and Event Photography Los AngelesWedding and Event Photography Los AngelesWedding and Event Photography Los AngelesWedding and Event Photography Los AngelesWedding and Event Photography Los AngelesWedding and Event Photography Los Angeles

I was pretty impressed that Lauren made all of the details for their reception.  She’s quite crafty.Wedding and Event Photography Los AngelesWedding and Event Photography Los AngelesWedding and Event Photography Los AngelesWedding and Event Photography Los AngelesWedding and Event Photography Los AngelesThe reception was tasteful with a lively dance floor that went well into the night.Wedding and Event Photography Los AngelesWedding and Event Photography Los Angeles
