Parkway Tavern Tacoma Wedding brought a few new experiences for me. First of all, I was hired the day before the wedding. Therefore this was very different from the amount of planning that I normally do with couples I work with. Most of all, I hadn't met or spoken with the bride or the groom prior to meeting them in person on the wedding day.
Tacoma Country and Golf Club wedding venue is one of my favorite wedding venues in Tacoma. First of all, their property is immaculate, the onsite catering is delicious, and they have some of the friendliest staff. Set upon the bank of American Lake, joined by 130 guests, Brian and Nicole were married on a cool September evening.

It's a perfect place to throw a party!
Fort Steilacoom Tacoma Maternity in Lakewood, Washington. First of all, I love maternity photography. It's like an engagement shoot, but a little extra giddy. It's exciting to work with expecting couples, especially if it's their first child. Elizabeth and Jacob were so much fun to work with, and I think Fort Steilacoom State Park was an excellent choice for their photoshoot.
North Tacoma Newborn Photography. Jordan and Matt had the cutest baby boy, Dashiell. First of all, Dashiell was an incredibly easy baby. It made the photography session a breeze. Maybe he has his moments when he's alone with mom and dad, but he was a little angel while I was there.
Taia has a contagious smile and a down-to-earth kindness about her. While she may be sweet, she is also fierce, powerful, and confident. As a result, I think we ended up with some jaw-dropping imagery. Taia messaged me after seeing her gallery with one of my favorite compliments on my work I've received to date. She wrote, "I never thought I was that "beautiful" until I saw that photo (cover image). It genuinely changed the way I see myself. I really see myself as pretty just because of that one image."
Point Defiance Park Engagement photography session in Tacoma, Washington. First of all, Heather and Aaron are one of the sweetest couples I've had the pleasure of working with. Heather was in a boot, so I thought it would be fun to start with something a little more playful, because that's their personality. If you are fun people, consequently you're going to get fun photos.
This Crystal Mountain Engagement session in Mt. Rainier's backyard started at the ski resort with a gondola ride and finished at their family cabin. Since they were wanting something a little more personal for their engagement session we did their portraits right next to their house in Lakewood. It helped that this private property provides a gorgeous background.
Chambers Bay Engagement Photography in Tacoma, WA. First of all, Josilyn and Aaron are just one of those couples that make you smile. They are so considerate, warm, and sweet, I instantly liked them. They wanted their engagement photos at Chambers Bay because of the beach in addition to the wide open fields.
Golden Gardens Seattle Engagement photography. Mary Beth and Nick wanted their pictures to represent more of a day in the life. First of all, they rounded up their dogs and we hit up the Ballard Farmers Market. It rained the whole photoshoot. Later it down-poured when we moved to Golden Gardens Park. It's located deep in the woods just outside of Seattle, WA. Everything took place on site. In addition to the perk of not losing photo time driving somewhere, it makes it easier on wedding guests.

Furthermore Chambers Bay is another excellent place to take wedding portraits without having to travel to another location far away. Maria and Brett were graced with a perfect sunny day in the PNW for their scenic wedding overlooking the bay.

This University Puget Sound engagement photography session, with a dog, was shot in the heart of Tacoma, Washington. I think that 25% of the engagement shoots I do now, couples request to have their pets in some of the photos with them. Dogs aren't always the easiest models to work with, but I always seem to get lots of great images where everyone is looking their best.
Tacoma Titlow Beach Park Engagement - for this session Andrea and Max wanted to include and showcase the city where they live, Tacoma. Our goal was including the city, trees, and water. Tacoma Point Defiance Park Engagement - when this photography session started out with Ta'Lisa and Justin having a dance party, I knew we were going to have a good time! I love when I'm able to capture moments like this of the couple truly being themselves and just having fun. If there's dancing involved that's always an added bonus.
Seattle Seward Park Engagement Session - I was stunned at how beautiful Seward park is. I knew it had cleaned up since I had last been, but it is even prettier than I was expecting.
