Seattle Kubota Garden Engagement
Seattle Kubota Garden Engagement – this photography session took place in two locations, Kubota Garden and Kerry Park in Seattle. I met Kristina and Stephan at the Garden. The gardens are gorgeous and they’re obviously a beautiful couple so I knew we were going to get some nice pictures. They brought a couple friends to wrangle their dog, Zoey, while she wasn’t in pictures, which I always recommend for couples that want to include their dog(s) in some of their photos.
Kubota Garden
Did I mention that their dog Zoey is ridiculously cute? Well, she is.
Lots of pretty flowers were in bloom that we had to play in.
Zoey is also incredibly talented. Look at her holding hands!
Bush diving is something I’ve mastered like how I got this shot. It was worth it, and I like the way the leaves give some framing to the couple as they cross the bridge.
Zoey decided to do her thing right next to me while we were taking a picture in front of this tree. Yep… number 2. No shame. I thought Kristina’s reaction was perfect.
Smooches for the puppy!
Kerry Park
Finally our last location was Kerry Park on the south slope of Queen Anne Hill. It overlooks the waterfront and downtown Seattle with a beautiful view of the Seattle Space Needle.
Outfit Change
Before we finished up our session they made a quick change of outfits. Kristina was probably the mastermind behind the clothing color schemes. I usually suggest a color palate for couples depending on when and where they’re having their photos taken. Although she didn’t need my help, because it looks like they have it locked down!
This staircase is a classic example of a move I’ll often pull in thinking we are ready to move onto the next location and then seeing something that catches my eye, and I have to try it out. I love experimenting, and if time permits, it is unlikely that I will resist the opportunity for a chance of getting THE shot.
