Tacoma Point Defiance Park Engagement
Tacoma Point Defiance Park Engagement – when this photography session started out with Ta’Lisa and Justin having a dance party, I knew we were going to have a good time! I love when I’m able to capture moments like this of the couple truly being themselves and just having fun. If there’s dancing involved that’s always an added bonus.
Ta’Lisa & Justin made these “Team Evans” t-shirts that were really cute. The front of the shirt said, “Team Evans” with the bible verse Ecclesiastes 4:12: “Furthermore, if two lie down together they keep warm, but how can one be warm alone? And if one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart”. I included verse 11 to give a little context, basically saying that humans were not meant to be and live alone. Togetherness is important and vital in one’s life journey, go team Evans!
Wardrobe Change
Next we went deeper into Point Defiance park on 5 mile drive. They had a wardrobe change, and if my memory serves me right I believe that Ta’Lisa made this tutu. I think it takes a certain personality to successfully pull something like that off, and she did in spades. Check out the heels she’s sporting too! She worked the forest trails like a runway, along with a little help from Justin’s steady arm to maintain balance. They looked great!
I thought these signs were pretty funny. My grandpa said something very similar to me when my wife and I got engaged. I’m glad to see I’m not the only one.
We then made our way to an overlook with a view of Gig Harbor. The narrows bridge being to the right of us. It was a beautiful clear day in the Pacific Northwest.
Congratulations Ta’Lisa & Justin! I know your wedding down south is going to be epic!
