Tacoma University Puget Sound Engagement
Tacoma University Puget Sound Engagement – this engagement photography session started at the University of Puget Sound campus and finished at Point Defiance Park in Tacoma, Washington. Molly & Kainoa are the type of clients that I feel like are old friends right away. I have a lot of fun with all my clients, but there are some people that you just sort of click with. That’s them. It is strange that we seemed to get along so well since they’re alumni of UPS and I’m an alumni of PLU. Pacific Lutheran University and the University of Puget Sound have a bit of rivalry here in Tacoma, especially during football season.
We started the afternoon in front of Kilworth Memorial Chapel on the north end of campus.
Kainoa started laughing so hard because I kept saying, “Nice” whenever I was liking what they were doing. The laughter grew uncontrollable when I tried to stop saying, “nice”, but wasn’t able to. They were just being so cute with each other and they looked so… nice.
Molly & Kainoa brought their cute pups, Dez and Finn, with them. They had a friend watch the dogs when they weren’t in pictures. This is always a great help in making sure things run smoothly when working with animals.
Getting the Dez and Finn to sit and stay for this shot was a challenge, but with the help of their friend and a few tricks, we were able to get the shot!
He dipped her in front of the president’s house… show off.
We then took a road trip across town to Point Defiance Park in the north end of Tacoma.
Towards the main entrance of the park one of the trees was in bloom with these beautiful pink blossoms. It’s trunk is incredible. It’s like the tree is begging for someone to climb it’s limbs. I thought it would be a great place to experiment with a few different things and have some fun!
One of my favorite moments was when they picked up the fallen petals and threw them up in the air, dancing around as they fell to the ground.
Congratulations Molly & Kainoa! Your wedding is going to be da bomb!
