This University Puget Sound engagement photography session, with a dog, was shot in the heart of Tacoma, Washington. I think that 25% of the engagement shoots I do now, couples request to have their pets in some of the photos with them. Dogs aren't always the easiest models to work with, but I always seem to get lots of great images where everyone is looking their best.
Tacoma Titlow Beach Park Engagement - for this session Andrea and Max wanted to include and showcase the city where they live, Tacoma. Our goal was including the city, trees, and water. Tacoma is rad. I have a lot of family here, went to college here, and most noteworthy, met my wife here. It's safe to say I'm a fan.
Tacoma Point Defiance Park Engagement - when this photography session started out with Ta'Lisa and Justin having a dance party, I knew we were going to have a good time! I love when I'm able to capture moments like this of the couple truly being themselves and just having fun. If there's dancing involved that's always an added bonus.
Seattle Seward Park Engagement Session - I was stunned at how beautiful Seward park is. I knew it had cleaned up since I had last been, but it is even prettier than I was expecting. It's pretty large as well at 300 acres. It's located in southeast Seattle and has one of the last surviving old-growth forests in the city. I met Tracey and Marcus at the park's entrance.
Seattle Kubota Garden Engagement - this photography session took place in two locations, Kubota Garden and Kerry Park in Seattle. I met Kristina and Stephan at the Garden. The gardens are gorgeous and they're obviously a beautiful couple so I knew we were going to get some nice pictures.
Seattle Discovery Park Engagement Session - this photo shoot was on a beautiful bright sunny spring day in the Pacific Northwest. Meghan and Jesse are a charming couple getting married in Texas during the summer on a yacht! How's that for fun? I had never heard of a wedding on a ship before. It sounds like it will be one not to miss!
This Sumner Wedding at the Attic was a beautiful day from start to finish. It was especially fun for me because I went to college with the bride, who was as much fun then as she is now. Kelly and Zack got ready at Kelly's sister's house, which I must say is beautifully decorated. There was definitely a 1920's influence on Kelly's dress, jewelry, and accessories.
I had an amazing afternoon shooting this Washington State Capitol proposal in Olympia, Washington. I love photographing marriage proposals! It's incredibly personal. I truly consider it a privilege and an honor to document these memories. It's such a private moment... or it could be incredibly public for all your family and friends to see ;)
This Union Station Engagement session was on a rainy day so it was perfect that we were able to shoot inside this Tacoma gem. Union Station was built in 1911 in the architectural style of Beaux-Arts. So... yeah, it's pretty cool. If you find yourself on Pacific Ave. in downtown Tacoma on a weekday, do yourself a favor and check it out.
This Tacoma engagement session was at the Museum of Glass and the Washington State History Museum owned and operated by the Washington State Historical Society. Kelly and Zack are getting married this month and we are so excited to shoot their wedding at the Attic in Sumner, Washington. Kelly and I went to college together and she was always the life of the party.
Glass Museum Engagement Photography This Glass Museum Engagement photography session with Emily and Tim took place at the Museum of Glass and the Washington State History Museum in Tacoma, Washington. First of all, we started at the history museum, which is run by the Washington State Historical Society . I love the architecture of the building, but most […]
There is so much planning that goes into a wedding day and after all that magic is done, the only thing you’ll be able to take away from it are the pictures… and they better be good. Your photographer should consider it an honor to document what is arguably the biggest day of your life. I know I do, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly.
