Annie Wright Tacoma Wedding
This Annie Wright Tacoma Wedding had the ceremony in Raynor Chapel and the reception in the back courtyard of the school. The planning, design, and floral design were by Jordan Moll Events.
First of all, although I didn’t know Hala & Hayden before they booked me, I felt like we were old friends by the time of their wedding after shooting their engagement and rehearsal.
The day started at Hala and Hayden’s condo downtown on the waterfront. Beauty was by Natalie Bradley, Tatiana Baxter, and Mikela Kiely over at Londons. They did an amazing job. As a result, everyone’s makeup and hair looked fantastic!
Hala’s wedding dress was absolutely stunning. The bride wore a Lazaro gown that was purchased from Marcella’s La Boutique in Seattle. The bridesmaid’s dresses came from the Jenny Yoo Collection.
All the decor and florals were done by Jordan Moll and Jordan Moll Events who always make everything look exceptionally beautiful. Another point I want to mention is that Jordan and her team have a real talent for making sure things run smoothly so the bride can have a stress free day and just enjoy all the wedding magic.
The wedding ceremony and reception were at Annie Wright Schools where Hala grew up attending primary school. Annie Wright’s campus is gorgeous and I can see why they chose it as the location for their wedding.
First Look
Hala and Hayden chose to have a first look which is something I always recommend to a bride and groom. It is such a touching moment that the bride and groom get to share together. In addition, it gives me a chance to capture authentic reactions in a location of my choosing. Seems like a win, win to me.
We then took some creative photos of the couple as well as family and wedding party photos.
Ceremony
The ceremony was in the charming Raynor chapel, which was absolutely beautiful.
Directly following the ceremony we had time for some creative photos with the couple around the school. I thought it might be fun to play around with this grand piano in this beautiful space.
I suggested they dance like Uma Thurman and John Travolta in Pulp Fiction. They instantly got what I was going for! Love that.
We went outside to the picturesque front of the building. Since it was not the best time of day for light conditions you have to be smart about how and where you use your light.
I saw this little nook leading into the chapel and I knew I wanted to come back to it later.
It was time to go to the reception, but before heading over we got one last shot on the altar steps. My favorite shot was actually of Hala running to the altar to take the photo.
Reception
The reception was held in the courtyard and the dinner was provided by Gallucci’s exceptional catering. They do a fantastic job and have a wonderful presentation.
The incredible cakes were made by Celebrity Cake Studio and the tempting macarons were crafted by Krystel’s Confections.
ICE CREAM! There was also an ice cream cart by Ice Cream Social for guests to devour!
Dancing followed with tunes spun by Ray Julich at RJ Musical Entertainment. He kept everyone rocking and having a great time on the dance floor.
A little fun in the Pixi Box photo booth!
Take note. If you are thinking of having a sparkler exit at your wedding I implore you to take after this couple and get the big ones. They burn 3 times as long as the regular sparklers, which allows time for everyone to get theirs lit at the same time.
And then they escaped into the night surrounded by family and friends. What an incredible night! Congratulations Hala & Hayden!
