Chapel on Echo Bay Wedding
We had so much fun photographing this Chapel on Echo Bay Wedding that had a nautical theme designed by Jordan Moll Events. Since it was a waterfront location on Fox Island the theme couldn’t be more perfect. So Haley and Matt selected a great spot to get married. I loved working with them due to the fact that they are the sweetest.
If you are not familiar with Fox Island’s intimate setting of the Chapel on Echo Bay let me be the first to tell you that it is an absolutely beautiful chapel right on the water. It is a perfect place to have your Washington “beach wedding”. The classy nautical theme was perfectly executed by Jordan Moll Events. Their attention to detail on all the floral, decorations and place settings was impressive.
They got ready at the chapel with the bride and bridesmaids downstairs and the guys upstairs. Haley’s hair was done by Heidi and Cody Traicoff from Salon Halo in Tacoma.
First Look
We chose to have the first look on the beach. I found some shade underneath one of the docks so Matt would not be a sweaty mess while he waited to see his stunning bride.
The venue let me take these rad chairs on to the beach to get this image which was really cool of them.
We did all the wedding party and family pictures right before the ceremony.
Ceremony
Matt and Haley had their ceremony inside the intimate chapel. It was perfect.
Haley is one of the sweetest brides I’ve ever worked with. If you looked for the definition of “sweet” in the dictionary you’ll find a picture of her. In addition, Matt is a class act and it was a privilege to document their wedding day.
How these two met is a cute story. Matt worked on Haley’s mom’s house while Haley was there and Haley kept finding reasons to bring out refreshments to the workers. Matt played his cards right and scored Haley’s number. Consequently, once they went on a date there was no separating the two.
We took their creative pictures right after the ceremony around the grounds of the Chapel, before making our way to their grand entrance.
Reception
The reception was beautifully catered by Gallucci’s, so the atmosphere was warm and full of fun!
The wedding cake was made by the bride’s aunt. It was a banana cake with cream cheese frosting, yum! I was so impressed by their cake, it just looked so pretty.
After dancing to the tunes of DJ Ray and some touching speeches, especially by Matt’s daughter, the couple sailed away into the night.
Finally, they literally sailed away on a sailboat into the night. What an incredible couple and an incredible wedding!
