Lake Union Cafe Wedding
Lake Union Cafe Wedding with the ceremony and reception at Lake Union Cafe in Seattle. First of all, I had a great time with Alexis and Jesse on their engagement session in Edmonds at Marina Beach Park. So, I was excited to be a part of their wedding day. They started the day off by getting ready at the Edgewater Hotel.
Alexis was an absolute stunner in her wedding dress.
They had their first look right outside of the hotel. There’s a beautiful walkway with greenery hanging from an arch, yet I had to be careful with the direction that I shot to keep cars out of the frame. Look how cute these two are!
Especially relevant, after the first look we headed over to Gas Works Park for their portraits. I love Gas Works. I think it’s such a unique park and it has beautiful views of downtown Seattle.
In addition, these arches are pretty iconic. Seems like it’s a must have picture to take at least take a few photos by them if you’re going to Gas Works. I wish I knew the story behind them.
Almost every time I come here I find myself wishing that fence was not there blocking off the massive structure. I’m sure it’s for vandalism and safety reasons, due to all the ladders and catwalks. Most of all, it still makes for a great backdrop.
Lake Union Cafe
Then we were off to Lake Union Cafe for the ceremony. We took a few more portraits by the wedding venue, as a result of being ahead of schedule. It worked out great for us.
The ceremony was beautiful. The reception was wild. They had a mariachi band come in and play that was absolutely fantastic.

Congratulations Alexis and Jesse! What an amazing day! Wishing you all the best.
