Parkway Tavern Tacoma Wedding
Parkway Tavern Tacoma Wedding brought a few new experiences for me. First of all, I was hired the day before the wedding. Therefore this was very different from the amount of planning that I normally do with couples I work with. Most of all, I hadn’t met or spoken with the bride or the groom prior to meeting them in person on the wedding day. I spoke with the bride’s father. Seems like with all the hoopla of the COVID-19 virus that their wedding photographer cancelled on them last minute. I felt like no one should be left high and dry like that on one of the most important days of their lives, so I said yes, and I’m glad I did.
Almost instantly I liked Andy, the groom. He was laid back and up for taking pictures. This was great, because we only had a couple hours before they ran off to their ceremony.
Andy wrote his vows right there on the spot. Consequently so did his beautiful bride, Michelle.
Of course, we had to get a photo of man’s best friend. He was a sweet pup.
Michelle arrived an hour or so later for their first look. She was absolutely glowing and she was ready to rock n’ roll.
Andy saw his stunning bride for the first time right outside of the Parkway. It was important for them to have photos here since this is where they met for the first time. Andy saddled up to the bar to get a drink, Michelle caught his eye, and the two hit it off.
I love the radiant smiles from these two! They make a good looking couple.
We went inside for the bridesmaids portraits to get out of the cold. I could tell right away that Michelle is the funny one in the group. I loved that her grandma was one of her bridesmaids.
Finally, Michelle and Andy finished writing their vows to each other. I had Andy sit in the booth opposite to her because I particularly liked the framing. After this we said goodbye, and they were off to their ceremony.
Congratulations Michelle and Andy! Wishing you all the very best in the years to come.
